Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about using ByteFrame and image privacy.
ByteFrame is a browser-based visual wrapping tool designed for developers, designers, and creators. It allows you to transform raw app/IDE screenshots into gorgeous, social-media-ready posts by adding window frames, adjustable gradients, 3D tilt perspective, watermarks, and annotation tools like privacy blurs.
You can try out basic layout customization presets directly on our landing page. To upload your own screenshots, perform full canvas design tweaks, use privacy blurs, and download high-resolution PNG exports, you simply need to create a free account.
Yes. ByteFrame features a built-in annotation tool that allows you to easily draw blur masks directly over sensitive parts of your screenshot—such as API tokens, private URLs, passwords, or emails—before downloading the final frame.
Images are exported in high-resolution, pixel-perfect PNG format. The layout scaling supports retina display configurations, so your mockups look clean and sharp on high-DPI social feeds like Twitter and LinkedIn.
ByteFrame is free to get started with core features. We also offer a Pro plan (with a 14-day free trial) that grants access to advanced 3D perspective tilting styles, custom watermarking presets, and bulk batch exports.
